Mermaid Pier
I spent a long time in these rocking chairs just letting the breeze from the ocean wash over me and listening to the waves lap the shore underneath the pier.

Hermit Crab
We went over to Crystal Beach and I found this hermit crab turned upside down with his shell full of water. After I took a picture I righted his shell and after a while he scuttled off. I don't know if hermit crabs enjoy being on their backs with their shells full of water, so I can't say whether or not he appreciated being flipped. He looked like he was getting a sunburn.

Catfish
I LOVE my camera.

Clownfish (Katie took this one too)
I love the world through my child's eyes.

Katie identifying the fish
Katie was so cute. I love the fact that she's so interested in learning as much as possible. We looked at the pictures and when she would match a fish to the card she was holding she'd ask someone to read her the name of the fish. I hope it's a curiosity she'll never lose.

Reef pic (Katie took this)
This picture and the next one are examples of what happens when you give your camera to a child to see things through their eyes. Normally I wince at the pictures Katie takes of me from her angle, but I love giving her my camera to take her own pictures and then seeing the results.

Wildflowers
Just a view of the wildflowers in bloom at Point Park.

View from Overlook
A view from the overlook Katie was having fun dancing on. (It had bars and I told her not to get near the edge, and she didn't... what more protection am I supposed to give her?)

Outcrop
Another outcropping of rock on top of Lookout Mountain. Chattanooga, Tennessee

Katie on an overlook
Probably not my best decision as a mother, but I put Katie on an outcrop for this shot. I told her not to move and grabbed a quick shot before climbing back out and holding her hand to get her down. She's only half-smiling in this picture because she's actually telling me, "I'm not moving, stop saying that!"

Overlook
Katie had a lot of fun on this overlook hopping from rock to rock and dancing in a circle. I think my parents keep waiting on Katie to be severly injured so they can say "I told you so" at what they consider my seeming lack of overly protectiveness. :) I think they think I'm supposed to wrap her in bubble wrap or something.

Favorite View at Point Park
This is my favorite spot on the trail at Point Park and a view I absolutely love.
